Camera gear is allergic to the floor.

Dropped the 5D on the floor tonight whilst the 70-200 F4L lens still attached. Freaking Arca plate!!! The 5D seems to be fine, but now the lens is hard to manually focus and it seems to be back focusing too. Looks like I’ll be heading to Canon Irvine for repairs this week. I’m looking for a silver lining in all this but it’s hard when I have to spend money for repair. Well, the 5D needs a sensor cleaning anyway.

    My wife dropped my Xsi while climbing out of the truck parked in a 30% grade driveway in Santa Barbara. Not only did it hit the asphalt hard, but tumbled about 10 ft down the driway too! All works well, but the body has some scuffs and dings now. Adds character!
